Joining instruction
All learners must have minimum of Emergency First Aid At Work certificate valid for at least 12months before the commencement of the course
In line with the Security Industry Authority’s documentation requirements, Approved Centres may accept the following forms of identification
One identity document from Group A and two documents from Group B. At least one document must show the candidate’s date of birth. Each Group B document must show the candidate’s current address.
Each document should be the original, physical document. We will not accept a scan or photocopy.
List A Documents
- Signed valid passport of any nationality
- Identity Card issued by the UK Home Office
- Signed UK photo driving license
- UK birth certificate or certified copy issued within 12 months of birth, but not a photocopy
- UK adoption certificate
List B Documents
- Valid EU photo ID card
- Valid UK firearms license with photo
- Signed UK paper driving license
- Marriage certificate or civil partnership certificate, with translation if not in English
- Certified copy (not photocopy) of a UK birth certificate issued more than 12 months after date of birth
- Non-UK birth certificate, with translation if not in English
- P45 statement of income for tax purposes on leaving a job issued in the last 12months
- P60 annual statement of income for tax purposes issued in the last 12 months
- Bank or building society statement issued to current address, less than three months old. You can use more than one statement if each is issued by a different bank or building society.
- Mortgage statement issued in the last 12 months
- Gas, electric, phone, water, satellite, cable, mobile phone contract or utility bill issued to current address within last 3 months. You can only use one utility bill in support of your application.
- TV license in your name and current address issued in the last 12 months
- Pension, endowment, or ISA statement issued in the last 12 months
- Certificate of British nationality
- British work permit or visa issued in the last 12 months
- Letter from H.M. Revenue and Customs, Dept of Work and Pensions, employment service or local authority issued within the last 3 months. More than one letter can be used if issued by different government departments or different local authorities
- Credit card statement sent to current address in the last 3 months. More than one statement can be used if issued by different service providers
- Council Tax statement issued in the last 12 months
- Court summons issued in last 12 months.
Identification
You must bring with you on the first day of your course:
2 colour passport-sized photographs taken recently with no sunglasses, hats, or Bluetooth/mobile accessories.
Failure to provide the necessary forms of identification will lead to your not being permitted to sit the course or examinations.
Language and Others
Learners should, as a minimum, have language skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening equivalent to the following.
- A B2 Level qualification on the Home Office’s list of recognised English tests and qualifications.
- A B2 Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
- An ESOL qualification at (Level 1) on the Ofqual register taken in England, Wales or Northern Ireland.
- An ESOL qualification at Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework Level 5 awarded by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) and taken in Scotland.
- Functional Skills Level 1 in English.
- SQA Core Skills in Communication at Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework Level 5.
Training centres must retain this information for all learners against all four competencies for a minimum of three years in line with the retention of assessment evidence requirements.
All course fees are non-refundable.
Should you fail to pass any of the examinations you can have a free retakeper paper, after that at a cost of £30.00 per exam paper.
To gain the qualification, you must pass all examinations and the class/video/portfolio assessment. Please note that payment of a deposit secures your place on this course only.
Your deposit will not be refunded if you fail to turn up for the course.
If, however, for any reason our centre cancels the course, we will offer a full refund or a place on another course. Our centre reserves the right to cancel the course at any time should they feel it necessary. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the centre manager
Attendance and Punctuality
The course registration starts at 8.45am. The course will start at 0900,
The instructor will complete your registration before the start of the sessions.

Lateness is not acceptable under any conditions.
Course Exam & Training Units
Door Supervisor Course Modules :
- Module 1: Principles of working in the private security industry
- Module 2: Principles of working as a door supervisor in the private security industry
- Module 3: Application of conflict management in the private security industry
- Module 4: Application of physical intervention skills in the private security industry
Assessment elements where all assessments are video recorded for the purpose of assessment and kept on learners file for 1 year in secured storage
Important Information for the Physical Intervention aspect of your training
It is important to understand that there is physical training included in this course and there is a risk of injury. You will be required to sign a statement confirming that you are physically fit and do not carry any injury or condition that may put yourself or others at risk. Although, we have taken measures to reduce risks, participants must understand that there is always a risk of injury when physical interventions are taught and practiced. Therefore, all learners should provide next of kin details in case of an emergency.

Our centre takes no responsibility for any items left/lost in the classroom/training.
The practical skills have been designed to provide simple non-aggressive responses that can be used, are lawful, to:
Reduce the risk of attack, assault, kidnaping
Protect oneself and others against assault and to disengage from an assailant to get principle into safety
Guide and escort people more safely
Hold a violent person as a condition of attendance
The trainer/centre has the right to remove anyone from the training course at any stage, if necessary, to ensure a safe and effective learning environment for other participants. In the unlikely event this is necessary, no refunds will be granted.
In line with the Security Industry Authority’s documentation requirements, Approved Centres may accept the following forms of identification

LogixTraining Ltd does not tolerate any abuse, racism or discrimination towards staff and learners, the centre will be forced to remove learner from centre with no refund. In serious cases police will be called.
SIA LICENSE
Once you have successfully passed the course (normally result take 5-10 working days), you will be able to apply for your SIA Licence.
